ACC-R
ACC-R is a speculative AI model agency exploring synthetic identity, representation, surveillance, and the translation of the human image into data.
The Brief
Develop a speculative identity for an experimental AI model agency that questions how artificial intelligence reshapes ideas of identity, representation, authenticity, and the human image.
Exploring synthetic identity, representation, surveillance, and the translation of the human image into data.
The Approach
The identity draws from the visual language of facial recognition and smartphone camera interfaces, repurposing detection markers, framing devices, and registration systems as core graphic elements. These familiar structures are used to frame each synthetic model as both image and data, reinforcing the project’s themes of replication, surveillance, classification, and machine-mediated identity.
The Outcome
The result is a flexible identity system and growing registry of AI-generated models, each presented as a synthetic replica. The visual language gives ACC-R a distinct presence within while remaining closely tied to the project’s wider investigation into how identity is constructed, detected, and reproduced through artificial intelligence.
Additional Information
ACC-R is an experimental AI model agency and speculative design project exploring what happens when artificial intelligence enters the representational systems traditionally associated with human identity. The project creates and manages a growing roster of AI-generated models, each treated as a synthetic construct rather than a fictional person. Drawing on the visual language of facial recognition and smartphone camera interfaces, the identity uses framing devices, detection markers, and registration systems to examine themes of replication, surveillance, classification, and the translation of identity into data.
