Catalogue CMS
A modular CMS and static site generator built to make small websites easier to create, manage and adapt through familiar design language and a lightweight, flexible structure.
The Brief
How can a content management system remain approachable and familiar while giving designers and developers the flexibility to build sites without the overhead of a traditional CMS?
The Approach
The system was designed around modularity, clear hierarchy and familiar interaction patterns, reducing the learning curve while keeping the underlying structure open and adaptable. YAML blueprints, JSON content and editable PHP templates separate content from presentation, allowing projects to be extended without making the system feel overly complex.
The Outcome
The result is a lightweight CMS and static site generator suited to portfolios, documentation, article collections and starter sites. Its modular structure makes content easy to manage, move and version, while the interface and templating system provide enough flexibility for each project to develop its own visual identity.
Additional Information
Catalogue is a flat-file CMS and static site generator built with PHP, YAML blueprints, JSON content files, and editable PHP templates. It is designed for small sites, starter kits, portfolios, documentation sites, article collections, and other projects where content should stay readable, portable, and easy to version.
